The reclaiming, reenacting, and repurposing of labor, of emotional labor more specifically, is as much a question of what labor is as it is of how we interact with it as an object. This is especially true when the labors main presence in the physical world is documentation by the laborer. Would the labor documented in this project exist as an object that can be reclaimed, reenacted, repurposed, and indeed documented if not for the documentation itself? And how do we negotiate the digital representation of tangible objects that document constructs that are as intangible as the digital, like labor?
